Flight Rules

Below you will find the rules for flights/runs at The Lodge. Please note: any female is welcome to sign up, but Lodge administration reserves the right to refuse any female the right to rise here for whatever reason. We don't forsee needing to do this however.

1. Your dragon/gryphon/creature must be an adult with their adult stage on the page before you send in the application.

2. The Lodge is open to any manner of creature that wishes to make their hatching public. The Lodge will occasionally hold exclusive hatchings, but these will be rare.

3. The owner of the female may choose the winner of her flight/run and should write the flight story. If the story isn't written in a reasonable amount of time the suitors will be released to find other prospective females and the flight will be postponed or dropped from the board, dependant on circumstances.

4. Males can chase only one female at a time (though there are some exceptions with regards to frenzies, please check with me if you're unsure if the exceptions apply). Males who succeed in catching the female should expect to stay with her until the clutch has hatched, after which he is free to pursue other females.

5. Females are not baby-making machines! While they may fly as often as they like please consider giving them a break between clutches!

6. If your dragon already has a chosen mate and both parties want their children to go out from the Lodge please send in a form for the female, a form for the male, and send me a flight story. That's right, premated pairs can skip the flight boards altogether and head straight for the chambers if there's room!

7. The Ladies in Waiting list is reserved for those flights that have important plot points that must be carried out at the Lodge or Kilandaia. Most of the time I suspect these will be my dragons, but I won't tie up the flight boards with all my own dragons so they will likely slip in as I have room or extra time to run more flights.

8. While The Lodge will accept any dragoness and any chaser that applies we would prefer dragons who have good reason to be rising here. Please also take into account that there are many very unusual dragons residing at the Lodge and with the diversity prevalent among Kilandaian dragons, 'plain' dragons are not likely to fit in or be accepted. Kilandaian Forest and River dragons especially can be very cruel to outsiders who don't seem to 'fit in'.
