Black, White & Red All Over Giveaway

Kilandaia
Herath padded along the streets of Star City examining the buildings and housing structures in this district. Despite her casual, pleasant air, she was on a mission and intended to see it through. Somewhere in one of these buildings her aunt (well, her father's aunt, so technically her great aunt) lived with her gryphon bond. Herath continued her scrutiny of the buildings until she saw the appropriate number. Her eyes lit up and she made her way over, pushing open the dragon-sized door and climbing the stairs. She found the appropriate door number and lifted one white-striped red paw to wrap smartly at the door.

The door was opened by a parrot-like gryphon who opened his beak in a jovial smile. "Well hello there! And who might you be?"

Herath's lips curled in a smile of her own as she tried to look past the gryphon to the apartment beyond. "I'm sorry to disturb you, but I was looking for my aunt Yayseth?"

"Yay! You've got family here!" he called over his brightly plumaged shoulder and then moved out of the way gesturing that she should enter. "Come on in dearie, she'll be glad to see you, I'm sure!"

Herath rather doubted that, seeing as she'd never met her aunt before but she grinned at the gryphon anyways and scooted past him and into the snug living area there. Just then a lavendar dragoness came out of the hallway in the back and Herath perked up. "Aunt Yayseth?"

"I'm Yayseth, yes. And who might you be, that you call me aunt?" replied the lavendar dragoness with a hint of humor in her voice.

Herath smiled, "My name is Herath, I'm your nephew Seluth's daughter."

"Seluth? Hmm, I don't think I remember that one, who were his parents?"

"His mother was your sister, Yusanabth?"

"Ah! There we are, that's the connection then. What can I do for you then, my grandniece?"

"I was simply researching my family tree and trying to contact everyone on it who was still in Star City. I've already met up with my uncle Yaloth and he told me where to find you."

"Oh, Yaloth! There's a sweet boy, how is he doing?"

"He was a little down when I saw him, but said he gets that way sometimes. He told me to tell you not to worry about him."

Yayseth nodded and smiled giving her bond a fond look as he rustled his wings and headed for the back, no doubt to give them some privacy. "So you're just trying to contact family, is that it?"

"Sort of. I'm actually trying to find out if any of our bloodline have the ability to teleport."

Now Yayseth smiled knowingly. "Looking to hitch a ride, somewhere? Well, I'm sure some of my siblings must have had the ability but I've lost track of them. Didn't your grandmother have the ability?"

"She did, but I haven't been able to track her down."

"Well, none of my children had the ability, but one of my daughters has a mate with the ability. They're into world hopping though so they'd be hard to get ahold of. I can give you their information when they're in town if you want to try."

"That'd be helpful. If I can't find family to help me I'll have to save up enough money to buy passage on a ship and that'll take ages!"

Yayseth gave Herath the information she needed and Herath thanked her great-aunt profusely before heading on to her next location. Apparently Basium Rufasilex lived with her mate a few blocks away. Yayseth had no idea how they maintained so many residences but did say they had a residence in each of their favorite places to visit, so they didn't really live anywhere, they just travelled from place to place as much as they pleased.

Herath reached her destination in good time but received no answer when she buzzed their apartment. Knowing the address and names though would give her a way to leave a message at least which she did. Now she had but to wait and hope that the pair came home soon, and then that they wouldn't mind assisting a distant relative!
